The weather has been its usual MD bi-polar self, switching between torrential rainfall and sun and drizzle all day. It has been warm and mostly humid, even with all the rain. Hence, no outside office for me today. I did at least leave the house to go for a swim. No, that the day is over the sun is out and not a cloud in the sky. This has prompted me to book a Flying Scott for tomorrow afternoon. I hope my friend Maureen will be in town and can join as it is so much more entertaining to sail with company.
Am feeling much better today; presumably the 600mg Ibuprofen help to achieve that. Otherwise it was a thoroughly uneventful day, except: Finally, Bray & Scarf replaced that wall oven they had sold me! I have a brand-new oven (except the handle, which is form the old one as the new handle had a dent). I am so hoping this will not turn out to be another lemon!
The day was so busy workwise that I did not get around to any news reads today, which feels like detoxing. The combination of the crazy politics in this country, the fires raging in California and the Amazon destroying vast amounts of ancient forests and the Virus sure do not make for happy reads. As a result, today’s virus news is limited to the depressing statistics of 27.9 million infections worldwide and 6.85 million in the USA. I found an interesting graph visualizing the discrepancy between total infections in relation to share of world population nicely. It is a few days old and somehow I cannot find the source. The gap shown for India is presumably no longer accurate, the one for the USA is.
